Truth
Truth and Falsehood
The maiden of truth so free and fair,
Glides the meadows so lush and green.
So many suitors will she ensnare,
Only to deny them the sight they seen.
_
She increases in beauty as ages pass,
And with beauty her wisdom grows afar.
Thus such irony has come to past,
That beauty and brains be found on par.
_
Alas it is that I have set my sights,
On a maiden both so fleeting and fine.
Although she yields not to my might,
I will tarry not to make this virgin mine.
_
As elusive as the maiden of truth may be,
My pursuit for her will last for all eternity.
