I think I'm convinced about the reality of the PAST (not present or future)
which is just being muddled by the prejudice of some historians.
And our perception of the present or future can possibly be distorted or wrong.

The implication of Descartes "cogito ergo sum", I believe, suggests existence acknowledging itself. To be alleviated from ones own mind, albeit the material remains, existence becomes meaningless if its not idealized-thus, as you rightfully implied, Descartes was hinting a void. He is both right and wrong-as you stated, there are levels of consciousness, yet if existence cannot define itself through perception, quintessentially, it remains a mere void. In this regard, a pragmatic approach must be rendered to encapsulate the axiology of what is.

Good point..Our Consciousness and our senses is the only way we can know this..That we can observe a honey bee when we are conscious proves we are not the honey bee..

The same way that by observing another individual we know that we cannot be that said individual..The subject that perceives cannot be the object that is being perceived..

See my essay on the certainty of consciousness: http://jamesesz.wordpress.com/2009/12/01/introduction-the-certainty-of-consciousness-and-its-relation-to-time/

How do I know I'm not really a honey bee having a dream that I'm human-I've always admired Descartes-he exposed the fallibility of utilizing linear logic singularly, without amassing metaphysical erudition. Subjectivism, indeed has its place.

The Theory of Relativity is scary as it is..I am aware of the problem that Einstein's theory of relativity is incompatible with Quantum Mechanics..But I am yet to go deeper into Quantum mechanics..

Thanks for the info!

Einstein was right about the shortcomings of Quantum Mechanics and so therefore String Theory is also the incorrect approach. As an alternative to Quantum Theory there is a new theory that describes and explains the mysteries of physical reality. While not disrespecting the value of Quantum Mechanics as a tool to explain the role of quanta in our universe. This theory states that there is also a classical explanation for the paradoxes such as EPR and the Wave-Particle Duality. The Theory is called the Theory of Super Relativity.
This theory is a philosophical attempt to reconnect the physical universe to realism and deterministic concepts. It explains the mysterious.

I do believe that some of the most prominent philosophers will lead themselves in the remediation of their common sense; sometimes leading to solipsism.
